Holiday Cider

1 md Orange
1 1/2 ts Whole cloves
1 ga Apple cider
3/4 c Red cinnamon candies
2 ea (3-inch) cinnamon sticks

Slice orange into 6 wedges; stud wedges with cloves; set aside. Combine cider and candies in a Dutch oven over medium heat; cook until candies are dissolved and mixture is thoroughly heated. Pour cider mixture into a heat-proof punch bowl. Add clove-studded orange wedges and cinnamon sticks. Serve hot. Yield: 1 gallon.
