Ham and Corn Chowder

1/2 c Coarsely chopped onion
1/2 c Butter or margarine; melted
17 oz Cream-style corn
1 c Chopped cooked ham
1/8 ts Pepper
1/2 c Half-and-half
1/8 ts Salt


Sauté onion in butter in a dutch oven until tender. Add remaining ingredients; cook over low heat until heated (do not boil).
