2 29 oz cans peach halves
1 ts Cornstarch
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Ground cloves
1/4 ts Grated orange rind
1/8 ts Ground nutmeg
1/8 ts Ground allspice
Drain peaches, reserving syrup. Combine syrup, cornstarch, and remaining ingredients in a small Dutch oven; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; add peaches, and simmer 1 minute. Let cool 30 minutes; then chill.
