Jambalaya

1 1/2 lbs. cleaned Shrimp
1 lb. smoked sausage
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups raw rice
1 medium onion
1 stalk celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
2 cups water
1 tsp Accent
2 Tbsp. chopped green onions
1 Tbsp. minced parsley

Heat oil in 4-6 quart Dutch oven. Add onion and celery and saute until transparent. Saute sausage along with onions and celery. Add rice and fry about 5 minutes. Add Shrimp and cook a few minutes.


Add green pepper, green onions, garlic, parsley, salt pepper, and Accent. Let boil 1/2 hour, adding small amount of boiling water if necessary or until rice is tender. Serve hot.
