Cran-apple Cobbler

3 cans Luck's Fried Apples
1 bag Ocean Spray Craisins (sweetened dried cranberries)
2 boxes pound cake mix
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
water


Start your charcoals in the charcoal chimney.

Open the 3 cans of apples and set aside. Open up the first box of pound cake mix and put in a mixing bowel. Add the juice of 2 cans of the apples to the cake mix. (NOT the apples) Place the contents of the 3 cans of apples into the dutch oven. Mix in the Craisins with the apples. Put about 3/4 of a cup of the brown sugar into the apple and Craisins mixture and mix well. Add the 3 spices together and put about 3/4 of the spices into the fruit mixture and stir well.

Back to the cake mix. The mix now has the juice of 2 cans of apples in it. You will need to add a little amount water at a time to make it into a cake batter. Now pour the cake mix evenly on top of the fruit mixture in the dutch oven.

Open up the second box of pound cake mix, and sprinkle it on top of the cake batter. Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar and spices on top of the dry pound cake mix.

Melt the butter in the small pan. Once the butter is melted, drizzle the melted butter back and forth across the top of the cobbler.

Put the lid on and cook. In a #12 dutch oven, place the oven on top of 10-12 charcoals and then place about 14-15 charcoals on the lid of the dutch oven. It will take about 30 to 45 minutes to cook. Check at the 30 minute mark. Do not keep opening the oven up to check, since it lets out the heat inside.
