County Pork and Sauerkraut

2 lb Pork country-style ribs
1 md Onion -- chopped
1 tb Cooking oil
1 cn Sauerkraut -- 14 oz drained
1 c Applesauce
2 tb Brown sugar
2 ts Caraway seed
1 ts Garlic powder
1/2 ts Pepper

In a dutch oven, cook ribs and onion in oil until ribs are browned and onion is tender. Remove from the heat. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and bake at 350 deg. for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until ribs are tender. Yield: 4 servings.
