Meat Cholent

2 c Dried lima beans
3 lb Brisket
3 Onions -- diced
3 tb Fat
2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1/4 ts Ginger
1 c Pearl barley
2 tb Flour
2 ts Paprika

Soak the beans overnight in water to cover. Drain. Use a heavy saucepan or Dutch oven and brown the meat and onions in the fat. Sprinkle with the salt, pepper and ginger. Add the beans and barley and sprinkle with the flour and paprika. Add enough boiling water to cover one inch abovethe mixture. Cover tightly.
