1 cup Sugar
1 cup Self raising flour
3/4 cup Milk
1 tin Apricot halves
Put margarine into the baking dish. Place baking dish into Dutch Oven, resting it on pebbles. Mix flour, sugar and milk to a smooth paste that will pour early. When margarine is spitting hot, pour paste into baking dish. Drop in fruit right away. DO NOT STIR.
Bake for approximately 30 - 45 minutes. When checking - if the top gets brown too quickly, remove some top heat from the Dutch Oven. If not getting golden brown at a steady rate, then add more coal to the top.
Once baked, do not remove from Dutch Oven immediately. Allow it to settle for a few minutes before moving it.
