Serves eight to ten. Use three #303 cans sliced peaches or five regular cans sour cherries (sweeten cherries with two cups sugar); 1/2 box white or yellow cake mix; 1 stick margarine. Place peaches or sweetened cherries in dutch oven. Add cake mix, sprinkling it over top of fruit. Do not stir. Slice margarine in thin slices and dot the top of the cake mix. Place lid on dutch oven and put in hot coals. Shovel some coals onto the lid. Bake about 30 minutes.
